Never give these foods to your dogs

There’s a lot of human food that your dog should avoid. Some meals are downright harmful for dogs, and you might be surprised by some of these common items.

1. Candy’s

Xylitol is used to sweeten candy, gum, toothpaste, baked products, and some diet meals. It can cause a reduction in your dog’s blood sugar as well as liver failure. Vomiting, tiredness, and coordination issues are among the first signs. Your dog may experience seizures in the future. Liver failure can strike in a matter of days.

2. Avocado

Avocados, for example, contain a substance known as persin. For those who aren’t allergic to it, it’s OK. In dogs, however, too much may induce vomiting or diarrhoea. Keep your dog away from avocado plants if you cultivate them at home. The fruit, as well as the leaves, seed, and bark, contain persin. Also, the avocado seed can get caught in the intestines or stomach, causing a deadly blockage.

3. Alcohol

Alcohol has the same impact on the liver and brain of dogs as it does on humans. However, it takes far less to harm your dog. Even a small amount of beer, liquor, wine, or alcoholic cuisine can be harmful. It can induce nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, coordination issues, breathing difficulties, coma, and even death. It might be even worse if your dog is little.

4. Garlic

Keep onions and garlic away from your dog, whether powdered, raw, cooked, or dehydrated. They have the ability to destroy their red blood cells, resulting in anaemia. Even some infant food has onion powder in it. Poisoning can occur if you eat a large amount of food all at once. Look for indicators like weakness, vomiting, and difficulty breathing.

5. Caffeine

If you want your dog to be energetic, give them toys. Caffeine has the ability to be harmful. Coffee and tea, including the beans and grounds, should be avoided. Chocolate, cocoa, diet sodas, and sports drinks should not be given to your dog. Caffeine is also found in various cold and pain medicines. Do you think your puppy has consumed caffeine? As quickly as possible, take your dog to the veterinarian.

6. Raisins and grapes

There are better snacks for your dog to give him. In dogs, grapes and raisins can induce organ failure. Even a tiny bit of it may make a dog unhappy. Vomiting repeatedly is a warning indicator. Your dog will become sluggish and despondent within a day.

7. Nuts and dry fruits

Macadamia nuts and meals containing macadamia nuts should be avoided by your dog. A dog can become ill with just six raw or roasted macadamia nuts. Muscle tremors, vomiting, a high temperature, and weakness in their back legs are all signs to look for. Eating chocolate with nuts will exacerbate symptoms, possibly leading to dehydration.

8. Chocolates

The majority of people are aware that chocolate is harmful to dogs. Theobromine is the issue in chocolate. It may be found in all types of chocolate, including white chocolate. Cocoa and uncooked baking chocolate are the most toxic. Chocolate can cause watery diarrhea in dogs. Heart issues, tremors, convulsions, and death are all possible side effects.

9. Raw eggs

Uncooked eggs are part of some people’s “raw diet” for their dogs. The main veterinary medical associations, on the other hand, do not believe this is a smart idea. Food poisoning from germs such as salmonella or E. coli is a concern. If you have any issues, consult with your veterinarian.

10. Raw meat and fish

Raw meat and fish, like raw eggs, can contain germs that cause food poisoning. Salmon, trout, shad, and sturgeon, for example, can carry a parasite that causes “fish illness” or “salmon poisoning disease.” It’s curable, but seek care as soon as possible. Vomiting, fever, and large lymph nodes are the early indications. To kill the parasite, fully cook the fish.

11. Your medicines

Dogs should not be given human medication. It has the potential to make kids quite ill. Keep any medications out of reach of your dog, just as you would for your children. Also, only give your dog over-the-counter medicine if your veterinarian recommends it. Pain medications and cold medicines commonly contain ingredients like acetaminophen or ibuprofen. They might also be fatal to your dog.
